3 Days Report Writing Training
The Center of Business Administration (CBA) conducted a professional training about “Report Writing” for staff of Hagar International from October 04 to October 06, 2020 at the Safi Landmark Hotel, Kabul, Afghanistan. The session started with a pre-test that was taken by the participants. The training covered the following topics during the three days.
The training was conducted using methods that included facilitation by the training, question and answers sessions, presentation, game, discussion, and simulation.
On the first day of the training, the participants learnt that what a report is, why it is important to write/present reports, different types of a report, qualities of good report and the common mistakes in report writing. The trainees also got familiar with the steps of writing a complete report (identifying a problem, data vs. knowledge, data vs. information, and data collection techniques.)
On the second day of the training, the trainees recapped the day one content, and also learnt about data analysis and creating data graphs, planning a report, organizing the information, choosing the report format, report writing format, practicing a report sample.
On the third day of the training, after having a review on the topics from day two, the participants learnt practically about punctuation and capitalization rules, formatting and style, the seven C’s in writing, ethics of report writing, and reporting presentation.
At the end of the training participants took the post test and training evaluation form.
